Collctiv Is Now Even More Secure With New Payment Processor, Ryft Pay

What’s new?

We're excited to announce that Collctiv is now even more secure with our new payment processor, Ryft Pay. Ryft Pay is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), which means that it meets the highest standards of financial compliance.

This new partnership will allow us to offer our users even more secure and reliable ways to collect money from their friends, family, and colleagues. We're also working on some exciting new features and functionality that we'll be able to build out in the future with Ryft Pay.

What does this mean for me?

To launch this new build, we'll be releasing an update to the payment page today, Tuesday 3rd October, and also to the app on Tuesday, 10th October. Once you've updated your app to the new version, it will mean a couple of things when you next come to do a withdrawal to your bank account, buy a gift card, or send money to someone:

1. You'll need to re-enter your bank details.
2. You may be asked to re-verify with your ID.

This is so our new payment processor Ryft Pay can comply with the anti-money laundering and financial regulations that the FCA require of them.

When is this happening?

- Tuesday, 3rd October: Our updated T&Cs and Privacy Policy will come into effect, and we'll begin to use Ryft Pay to process your collections.
- Tuesday, 10th October: The updated app version will be available to download from the Apple App or Google Play stores.
- Wednesday, 1st November: You must upgrade your app to the latest version to be able to continue to use Collctiv.
