Secret Santa Name Generator

Have any questions?

What is Secret Santa?

Secret Santa is a gift exchange where everyone in a group is randomly given one other person to buy for. You only buy one present, and nobody knows who their gift came from until it’s opened (or ever, if you keep the secret). It’s popular with offices, friendship groups and big families because it keeps Christmas shopping cheaper and simpler.

How does a Secret Santa name generator work?

Pop in everyone’s names and email addresses and the generator does the matching for you. Each person gets their match by email so nobody, not even the organiser, sees who’s buying for who.

Is the Secret Santa generator free?

Yep, completely free, whatever the size of your group.

How much should you spend on Secret Santa?

Most groups go for £10 to £20, with office swaps usually at the lower end. Just agree the budget before anyone starts shopping, so you don’t end up with a £5 candle next to a £30 hamper.

Can I collect money for the Christmas party too?

You can! Set up a free Collctiv pot for the Christmas do, share the link in your group chat and everyone chips in their share for the meal, drinks or venue. You can see who’s paid at a glance, so no more awkward chasing in the office kitchen.
