Stag Do Ideas for When You’re the Last to Get Hitched

Being the last of your mates in your group to get married means you’ve all been there, done that, got the t-shirt, and probably have a kid or two.

So how do you convince your old pals from uni for a weekend away to celebrate your final days as a bachelor? We asked Matt Mavir, Founder of Stag and Hen Do supplier Last Night of Freedom.

“In many major destinations, there are hundreds of group activities you’ve never heard of that are perfect for stags - and some of them are absolutely bonkers."

Around 250,000 couples tie the knot in the UK each year, with an estimated 6 million Brits embarking on a stag or hen weekend. That means there’s plenty of demand for true once in a lifetime experiences - and these are some of the most original (and craziest) activities to try on a stag do this summer.

Husky Sledding in Tallinn
Swap the sun for some snow as you and your squad descend on the Estonian capital to be pulled through sub-zero conditions by a pack of rather cute huskies. The pack of dogs drag you along the snow for an unforgettable 15-minute sled ride through the Estonian forest. This looks great on the ‘gram’, but just remember to wrap up warm – the Baltics are, well, pretty baltic.

Jet Flighter Flight in Prague
A pilot will take you thousands of feet up for a 15-minute flight over the Czech capital in a second-generation Aero L-39 Albatross. If all the Top Gun lingo leaves you a bit goosed, let us just say this – the jet is ridiculously fast. A once-in-a-lifetime experience that is guaranteed to leave you walking on air.

Party with Chloe Ferry in Newcastle
After a decade-plus run, Geordie Shore is (sadly?) no longer on our screens. However, stags and hens can now pay to party with several castmates in the same raucous Newcastle nightspots where much of the smash-hit MTV show was filmed.

Re-enact the Italian Job in London
Forget go-karting – this is the driving experience every stag should try. Rather than 800hp karts, groups are instead chauffeured in vintage Mini Coopers through the streets of London as they recreate scenes from the class Michael Caine crime caper. Participants are suited up in boiler suits, as they take part in an exciting race around the capital with a bottle of bubbly for the winner.
