Job Description

As a UI-UX Designer, you will be responsible for delivering the best user experience across our suite of digital assets. You will be designing ideas using various methods and latest technology. As a user-centered UI/UX Designer, your aim is to create visually delightful and easy-to-use digital products in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and conceptualising a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for the brand across app and website;
• Producing high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes.
• Testing UI elements such as CTAs, banners, page layouts, page designs, page flows, and target links for landing pages;
• Performing stakeholder research to understand customer needs;
• Conducting competitive analysis of other websites that operate in a similar space;
• Working in collaboration with Software Developers to successfully understand and execute ideas;
• Optimising existing user interface designs;
• Using a clearly defined hypothesis-driven process for running and measuring user tests;
• Planning and implement new designs;
• Tracking usability goals and preparing reports for senior management;
• Tracking digital trends;
• Combining creativity with an awareness of the design elements; 
• Providing advice and guidance on the implementation of UX research methodologies and testing activities across the business  in order to analyse and predict user behaviour;
• Adhering to style standards on typography and graphic design.

Skills - Essential

• Prior experience as a UI/UX Designer as well as a portfolio of related projects;
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop);
• Proficient in prototyping tools such as Sketch, InVision, etc.;

Skills - Desirable

• A degree/diploma in Design, Fine Arts, Engineering or related field;
• Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus;
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics;
• Excellent communication skills and can clearly articulate ideas, designs, and suggestions;
• A strong team player who can collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.

Location

For the foreseeable future Collctiv will be implementing a mixed work from home / office approach. This role is predominantly based at home, with some time spent in the Manchester office (if this is applicable). Home working is nothing new to us and Collctiv was created with flexible working in mind. We will provide you with any equipment you may need to do your job. We also have an unlimited holiday policy, so you can take the time you need to do your thing outside of work.
